Using VNA Software to Build Accurate Models for Power Integrity Simulations
In power integrity (PI) simulations, accuracy and reliable component models are critical, yet vendor-supplied models often fall short. This article explores how system designers can address this challenge by building their own measurement-based models using the new Curve-Fitting Simulation Model feature in OMICRON Lab’s Bode Analyzer Software (BAS). Paired with the user-friendly Bode 100 and 500 vector network analyzers (VNAs), this feature enables designers to create precise SPICE models from impedance measurements, making VNAs more accessible and practical for PI applications.
