At this year’s ACE Awards ceremony presented by EDN and EE Times, Bob Dobkin, Linear Technology’s co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, awarded Steve Sandler, founder and managing director of Picotest, with the Jim Williams Contributor of the Year Award.
Sandler is a regular contributor to EDN and EE Times, and he is strongly committed to education, which he demonstrates by participation in DesignCon’s elite Technical Program Committee (TPC), as well as by mentoring new engineers and giving highly popular talks, speed trainings, and tutorials at DesignCon, and other events around the world.
Given out at the annual ACE Awards at ESC Silicon Valley this week, the Jim Williams Contributor of the Year Award is named after the analog great who passed away in 2011. Williams, an engineer and author, contributed to numerous electronics publications, including EDN (more than 125 articles), and was willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn.
